The following is a list of shows I currently perform. The list includes a description of the shows followed by an indication of ages/situations they are most suited to.
“THE WIZARD’S TALE”
This modern day fairytale, hosted by Wacky the Wizard, has a large cast. it includes a fairy, a horse called Nellie, and a naughty little boy called Jason who gets turned into a spider by a witch. Grandad arrives to save the day, but he too has a spell cast upon him, and turns into a chair!
This show based on the traditional ‘fairytale’ style is a great show for those trying to entertain a wide age range of children. Suitable for children between 4 and 10 years old (approx.) Has been very popular, especially at schools and libraries.
“All the staff commented on how much we enjoyed your show. The interaction with the children was great. They really enjoyed the story of “The wizard’s tale”. It was great to see handmade puppets as this leads into what our children will be doing this term. It as given them many ideas to make the most of our topic on puppets. The children are all excited about making their own theatres and puppets. 10/10″
“THREE ANIMAL STORIES”
During this session, children are entertained by three different stories. They meet “Sammy The Seal” , “Silly Billy Dog”, and spend some time on “Uncle John’s Farm”. The children also learn a song, feed Billy the dog and receive a colouring in poster.
Written initially for Kindergartens, but has since become our most popular show for children aged between 3 and 7 (approx.) Being made up of three sections, the children’s attention is well maintained. Great for kindergartens or prep/1’s.

“The children were attentive, responsive and engaged in the show. The content was suitable and likeable for the children. The storylines were interesting, entertaining and believable. Excellent performance quality, the show was pitched just at the childrens level. The stories addressed a variety of topics including social skills, friendships, how we are all different, helping others as well as providing another literary genre for the children to be a part of. The children were engaged from the moment they entered the room until the monmet they left. 10/10”
“CIRCUS WITH PUNCH”
After a short cleaning session, Mr. Punch is ready to host his famous circus. Madness and mayhem abounds however when he hears that the performers have gone on holiday. Mr. Hardley is then tricked into walking on the tight – rope, Judy rides the lions ( thinking they are horses ) , Blue the fish squirts everybody, and finally Mr. Hardley returns and ‘loses his head’ in the lion taming act!
Full of bright, non stop action. This show is somewhat more slapstick than others and therefore has proved more successful for older children. Full of laughs and enjoyed by children between 5 and 12 (approx.)
“The puppet performance and workshops were fantastic John. The children loved every aspect of the day, especially the workshops which were very hands-on. The children had an absolute ball!! We all loved, teachers and children, the questions at the end of the show and seeing how the puppet theatre worked and how it packed up. Clever idea. Excellent. A GREAT DAY HAD BY ALL. 10/10”
“PUNCH & JUDY”
After behaving badly in this show, Mr. Punch says “That’s the way to do it !” The audience however, have been pre warned of his reputation and respond by saying ; “That’s NOT the way to do it !” After a visit to the circus, crashing his wife’s car, and refusing to pay his medical bills, the audience help decide on Punch’s fate.
My version of this famous show has been modified so that the audience discusses the rights and wrongs of Mr. Punch’s actions. As with “Circus With Punch” this show is aimed at older children , 5 – 12 years old (approx.) and has been a great hit at Holiday programs, Festivals and the like.
